haven't written in a while and for good reason... nothin's going on... was watching tv late last night and saw an infomercial for the pool devil... have you seen their logo??? is it just me or does it look like it says something else??? sounds like an enema to me... that cracks me up...

TUESDAY | 08.12.03 | 1:43pm | i'm special, i think... i was to start a new job today but alas, i am at home... last week i got a job standing on street corners trying to sell tickets to comedy clubs... (it's actually a great deal: tickets that can be used any time until march and sell for about $2.50 per person... the perfect thing to have on hand for out of town guests or a date with that special someone of the week... but i digress...) i went in today for my big on the job training shtuff and after hanging out for about an hour was told that there was a mistake and that my training would actually take place tomorrow... ugh... okay, fine... i'll just take the fourty-five minute cross-town bus/subway excursion that i made an hour ago and go back to bed, you mean mean people... ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: on the bus i was approached by a woman... "can i ask you a question about your tattoo???" sure... "um, are you a graphic designer???" yeah, actually, i am... "i knew you were... well, my name is ina saltz and i'm a professor of typography at city college... would it be okay if i took a photo of your tattoo to show my students??? it's a wonderful use of helvetica and i'd like to show them that typography is everywhere you look..." neat, of course you can... "so are you a member of type directors club???" oh, no no no no no... nothing like that... i just really like fonts... "yes, you obviously do..."
