man injured in outhouse explosion

(blacksville, west virginia-ap) -- warning: smoking in the outhouse can be dangerous. a man is recovering from burns after lighting a cigarette in an outhouse -- causing the outhouse to explode.

it happened yesterday in blacksville, west virginia. a spokeswoman for monongalia (mahn-un-gayl'-yuh) emergency medical services said the explosion was caused by a build-up of methane gases inside the outhouse. she said the methane didn't "take too kindly" to the lit cigarette.

the man's name and condition aren't being released, but emergency officials say he wasn't severely hurt and drove himself to a clinic.

it's the july fourth weekend and it doesn't look like i'll be doing too much holiday weekend sort of stuff... i'm so busy that i'm close to going out of my mind... ain't no simple life here, mister... i've been working on the house renovations here for over two months and sometimes i stop and look around and think, um, where are the results of the work i've been doing??? it's that invisible crap, you know - the stuff you can't see unless you peel back the floors and counters and walls... when did i become a carpenter/electrician/plumber?!?!?! i don't know... i think that for the most part things are coming along nicely... it's just such a slow process, especially when your the only one working... charlie is busy every day with his job(s) and therefore he's lucky enough to not have to deal with all of this... or maybe he's the lucky one??? i don't know...

i had to pause last weekend to do a very rushed job for a new client in new york... i worked the entire weekend to meet a monday morning deadline and the project - digital imaging for a furniture catalogue - came out beautifully... i love rush jobs - i get to charge by the hour and that's where the money is!!! i made enough to consider putting down a payment on a new car... i'm thinking about this baby, but it doesn't come in orange... sigh... i guess you can't always get what you want... gas mileage is good (which, as you know, is verrrrry important these days) and price is very reasonable... i don't know... i like it 'cause it seems roomy and sleek and stuff... i mean, as sleek as a wagon can be... yes, a wagon... no sports cars or hummers or SUVs... i ain't a whipper snapper anymore, you know... i need something for the whole family!!! and something for road trips... i'm thinking new orleans... hmmmm...
