right off the bat i wanted to tell you all that charlie's better... the pills worked!!! thanks for the concern we received... you're so sweet... ::::::::::::::::::::::::: i can't believe how pretentious the whole new york city restaurant hierarchy and interviewing process is... ugh!!! i went around to several places today dropping my resume (which you'll notice has absolutely no waiting experience on it at all, but whatever, blah blah blah) and was told at one place that i was pretty much not greek enough... "irish!?!? ick..." at another place i was pretty much reprimanded for not being a wine expert... "i'd really like to learn more about wine, though," i said... "well," she says with a smirk, "it takes months to learn and years to know... yeah... um, hmmm..." i'm not bilingual so i can't work at a mexican restaurant... um, hello... i know how to pronounce and recognize words like burrito, salsa and tortilla... how much more do you really need... anyway, retail here i come...
SUNDAY | 07.27.03 | 1:41pm | doctor doctor... charlie had to go to the emergency room yesterday... he woke up unable to breathe or speak or swallow anything... the night before he'd felt something very painful in his ears during the show... the pain sent him home early but yesterday morning it was unbearable... we waited forever before a doctor saw us... it seems that charlie has a major ear infection that's spread to his throat... he received two shots in the ass and four prescriptions... now he can force baby food down his throat but he winces with each swallow... it hurts so much to watch him and know that there's really nothing i can do... we have to wait until tomorrow before he can see a specialist... please keep him in your thoughts...
