okay okay okay... so what if it's been exactly a month since i last wrote to you?!?!?! i've been so insanely busy... i can't even tell you... right now i'm sitting on the floor of the cabin barely able to keep my eyes open... charlie and i were moving all day... yes... moving... again... we're (get this) moving into a trailer out on his family's land... i've never lived in a trailer before... it's quite different from a house with an actual foundation... but for the last three/four weeks i've been in the trailer all day every day gutting the place and doing some pretty major renovation work... i have callouses on my hands and everything... i'm so butch... i nearly burnt the place down today though when i attempted some minor electrical repairs... i think that some things are better left to professionals... so in the middle of all of that i had a dramatic encounter with nature about a week and a half ago... one morning at around 6am charlie and i woke up to the loudest clap of thunder i'd ever heard... the cabin shook for several seconds... i thought it was either an earthquake, a bomb or the apocolypse... but no, it was an electrical storm headed our way... it hit like a ton of rocks and it was pretty scary... i got up to look out the window and there, about three or four feet in front of me, lightning hit... i screamed like a little girl and charlie yelled for me to unplug his keyboard (it's one of those elton john fancy types)... i ran into the other room to do that - passing my computer, my ipod, television, vcr, etc. of course... BOOM more lightning - hitting the house this time... i guess i'd made it to the keyboard in time 'cause it was fine, but the computer, ipod, television, vcr, etc. were fried... even the hair dryer in the bathroom was gone - it literally EXPLODED... BOOM - more lightining... it was after me... well, for the last two weeks i've dealt with warranty people from computer/ipod/misc.other-exploded-stuff trying to get it all fixed... so with all of that (plus the renovations on the trailer, don't forget) i don't think it's unfair to allow me this lapse in posting... i'm trying to get back into your life, you see (that is, if you'll have me) and i'm trying really really hard... i'm even working on a new site design - gotta keep things fresh... i wanna try to finally get rid of these banners (can ANYONE suggest a really great deal on website hosting, please???)... and all of this - for you... 'cause i love you so much...
